I had the loss of WAP function with my V3 and Cingular had me redo the sessions ad nauseum for an hour...they are, sadly, not smart.  Finally, I got fedup and after backing up my images and fonebook and calendar I applied a monsterpack from www.motox.us and it was perfect.  Also, media net stinks and you would be best off to get OperaMini from www.opera.com free java browser with 128bit encryption so you can bank and ebay and paypal and everything much faster than the other...

WAP works better than Opera Mini for certain things; e.g., Google Local for
Mobile, Google Mail for Mobile.
