Never. PalmOS is pretty much dead as you well know. Mourn
if you must but once again MS has crushed a decent piece of
software.

For a dead thing, Palm Inc is certainly selling a lot of devices. Sales
are UP this quarter compared to last year - before the Treo 700 was
released.

And Palm Inc is moving to WM5. I doubt PalmSource
has all that much life left in them. I like Palm OS and I'm
sorry it's going away. They were WAY ahead of MS
not all that long ago, so it's a shame.

The Treo 700w is only the newest Treo, and all that means is that Palm
is now selling both sides. There's supposed to be a 700p (PalmOS) and
an "entry level" Treo coming out this year.

Peter's Top 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord, #15. I
will never employ any device with a digital countdown. If I find that
such a device is absolutely unavoidable, I will set it to activate when
the counter reaches 117 and the hero is just putting his plan into
operation.

Symbian is still going strong. Methinks the real problem is Palm, not
Microsoft.
