Hello ppl,
my Friend is visiting Las Vegas. He bought
Cingular pre-paid card for 25$. He wants
using it for GPRS access to the internet.
He tried following settings (found in the
internet):

APN: isp.cingular
UserID: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

but it doesn't work - he can't connect to
the internet. He have his own card, and
using it GPRS works fine.

Does GPRS service must be activated somehow
on Cingular pre-paid cards?

It is always possible that CINGULAR has not enabled the MediaWorks Pay As
you Go package on the acct. A simple call to 611 from that phone can verify
that. Also, John Navas has put togther a nice site with all the settings and
info you would need to make sure the phone is setup completely. Bethween the
two, your friend should get rolling.
Remeber, he is paying .01 per KB, and he is going to be VERY surprised how
fast it goes. Fortunately they send a Text message after eash session so
hell know how he is doing.
