I have a Samsung d600E tri-band phone, so it will not support the
850MHz frequency in Oklahoma City for Cingular.  Do you know of any way
to modify the phone for that or are there plans to move to 1900MHz in
the area?

Thanks

I believe 850 is now Cingular's "preferred" freq--it is highly unlikely
they will change any 850 area to 1900.

You cannot modify the phone, it's physical hardware that determines
what frequencies the phone can operate on (as well as software).  Time for
a new phone if you want to take advantage of 850.
