Bluetooth DUN on my new phone

I've been doing a lot of research and getting a little confused.

I used (AT&T phone) to have a Nokia phone (Edge enabled) and I had a
Nokia cable to connect to my laptop.  I would sign up for a data
conection when we were going to travel and use the phone through a
Dial-up connection to *99# for an internet connection.  I haven't used
this in a while.

We just replaced our phones (now under Cingular service) with Samsung
SGH-D407 which are Edge 10 phones and bluetooth enabled.  I've been
able to get the phone to transfer files from the phone to the laptop,
so the bluetooth connection is working.

I've done some reading through Google on configuring DUN with
bluetooth and one thing that is confusing is the number to dial.  Some
reports said to dial *99# and others had *99***1#. Some said to use no
username and password and others gave various usernames to use (such
as isp@cingulargprs.com or other similar addresses. The pssword was
sometimes mentioned as cingular1.

I'm trying to get everything setup and then I'll enable the data plan
for a day to do some testing.  Some people have said that Media net
will work, but I realize that the tethering should require the data
connection service which is significantly more expensive.  For my
testing, I'd like to use something cheap since it will be of short
duration and not much data will be transferred.

Any thoughts on my comments will be appreciated.

*99# = dial default profile
*99***1# = dial profile #1
*99***2# = dial profile #2
etc.
