When I use my treo for dun what is the speed difference?  Would I get
faster speeds if I switch to the cable?

In theory no, in practice perhaps.

Depends if the is any significant in-band interference. For example,
I have a Bluetooth wireless mouse and when I start printing to my USB
printer my mouse becomes very sluggish and marginally responsive.

Just try it and see.

Something is seriously wrong -- that shouldn't be happening.

Good advice.

Serious in that its an inconvenience.

Not serious as there's no telling how much incidental spurious
radiation coming off the printer's USB line. My IP cams also
interfere, that's why they have clip on filters.

Serious is that it's not working properly, and could be a symptom of a
more fundamental problem.  When you permit that kind of thing, then you
can't reasonably compare your system to others, since you know it not to
be working properly.

Almost certainly not a problem unless your cable is really crappy, but
easily tested.

>interfere, that's why they have clip on filters.

Irrelevant.

Only thing irrelevant is opinions proffered by individuals
that do not have professional experience as a full time professional.
You do have an Anritsu spectrum analyzer and Cognito card handy,
right?  Didn't think so. Those are toys for the big boys.

As a self-proclaimed "big boy", why isn't your system working properly,
and why do you have so many problems with wireless data?  ;)

New to interference issue also, huh?  Thought so.

I am indeed, because they are so easy to avoid.  My gear works properly.
