Have a cingular LG c2000, we downloaded an mp3 ringtone, the phone has
defaulted to 'The Nature' ringtone and cannot be changed. Called cingular
and they also reported that the ringtone cannot be changed, that the
download messed up the phone and nothing can be done.
I am not believing this.
Does anyone have information, master reset requires a password and would
that help or make the phone useless?
Thanks,
John

Go ahead and reset the phone to it's original state. It will clear all
the information that you have entered, such as phone book entries etc.
But it isn't going to hurt the phone, that is the reason they give you
a master reset function. Give it a shot, it won't hurt anything.
