Is voicemail billed for deposit and retreival?  Buffalo NY market if it
matters.  Never was an issue until this month, when I got hammered with
calls!

I believe Verizon is billed for retrieval only - anyone confirm?

just spent 10 minutes on hold and got frustrated - thanks guys,

It seems to me they do charge for both.
If you keep your phone on, a call comes in and you did not answer it, the
call is forwarded to voicemail and Cingular DOES charge for this call (and
of course, they charge when you retrieve it). If your phone is off, the
incoming call goes to voicemail directly, they do not charge for that.

I've never been charged airtime for VM deposits.  I'm in Orlando, FL on
a TDMA Preferred Nation plan.
