Just wondering if anyone has this phone. I saw it at Sam's club for $39 with only a one year activation. It's a GSM phone which I am a little leary of but my husband will keep his Sprint TDMA phone so between the two of us we should be okay. It's a great looking phone, very slim and sleek but would like to know the con's if any of owning this phone, besides the general con's of GSM that is:).

I just got the phone,
its a great phone and so far no problems, also received more minutes with
this phone, great deal.,

I am considering either a 4010 or a 4050, and have researched both.
They seem to be terrific phones, but as they say, the proof is in the
pudding. I'm a little put off by no external display on the 4010, but
remember how much I enjoyed my old StarTAC, which didn't have an
external display either.

As far as disadvantages to GSM over CDMA, from a voice perspective
there are few, if any. GSM coverage can be spotty here and there, but
Cingular has been aggressively deploying 800 mhz sites and filling out
their coverage areas in general. There has been a tremendous growth of
GSM in the US over the past couple of years, and it's only going to
get better and better. I wouldn't worry.

In fact, there are a couple of things about GSM that I'd consider an
advantage: longer battery life, the SIM card which you can take from
phone to phone and true SMS, which Sprint has yet to provide.
