Change plans without new contract requirement. Effective 11/2007

Early termination fee to be prorated (But only on new plans, not
existing - early 2008)

Ahh, you can almost smell the crisp scent of Congressional "Wireless
Consumers Bill of Rights" legislation in the air, can't you, as carriers
scramble to "prove" it's unnecessary?

Lots of press releases saying "Consumers are happy"

Verizon promised this about one year ago and to my knowledge, it never
materialized.  It takes the Attourney General and Senator of Minnesota to get
these bastards attention [in particular, Sprint PCS].

Actually it did, but like with AT&T it only applied to new contracts
signed after the implementation date.  Verizon's been pro-rating
contracts for a few months now.

Those who were already under contract are unaffected.

And AT&T says it won't be implmented till Early 2008 (could be June
29)  Might require a half day of some programmers time to implement
the change so it wouldnt happen instantly.

Possibly if you called in every day and complained they might pull a
Sprint, and invite you out of your contract.
