The description of this service on Cingular's web site describes it as being
"Powered by Cingular's nationwide GSM & TDMA voice and next generation data
network."  It is described as a simple method of accessing MS Exchange mail,
calendar, contacts, etc.   The only function that is listed as requiring
GPRS is to "switch from the Internet to a phone call without losing either."
Numerous phones are listed as being compatable, *not* including the SE T62u.
When I called CS to inquire about specifics, I was told that it is only
available where GPRS is available and that it is not implemented yet in
Dallas.  Also, the software in *all* existing phones except one Blackberry
model is *not* capable of running the service.

Does anyone know the real story on this service?  I want to access my mail
on MS Exchange with my T62u.  Is there another method I can use with my
T62u?  Is the information I got from the CS rep correct?  It just doens't
ring true.

Any information will be appreciated.

I appear to be kicking a dead horse!  Does no one know anything about this
service called Express Mail - Network Edition?

Surely someone out there is using it, has used it, tried and failed, or
something.

Thanks for any information you have.

Bob, I tried Express Mail - Personal Edition, but not Network Edition.
Cingular didn't seem to know much about the product at the time.
After many hours on the phone with their tech support and their
software vendor, we were able to make it work.  (and they gave me a
free month of service for my trouble)   I accessed the software
through the broswer on my T62u.  Until I called (and spent hours with
them) they had never published the link to the Personal edition of the
software.  Once everything was set up correctly, Personal Edition
worked reasonably well.  I discontinued the service shortly after
setting it up because I didn't want to run the redirect software on my
laptop 24x7.  I didn't feel like exploring the possibility of running
the network version on our Exchange server.

Good luck!
