I bought a Motorola V540 on ebay and it's unlocked (formerly locked to
AT&T). For some reason, I can't send or receive messages with pictures
attached. I'd like to re-lock it to see if this solves the problem.  Any
idea how I'd go about doing it?

Thanks!

Sounds like MMS messaging is not enabled on your account. Take a look at
your service plan, and see what's included.  Relocking the phone shouldn't
be needed.

The network configuration of your phone might be wrong or missing
entirely.

You didn't say what network you're trying to use the phone on.
T-Mobile has an over-the-air configurator for phones on their network;
maybe your current provider has something similar.

Otherwise, their customer service folks might be able to talk you
through the procedure.

My apologies. I'm on AT&T.  I brought the phone back to an AT&T store
yesterday and they checked the network config & then said they flashed
it.   Still no go.
