The V60Ti is a TDMA phone that is data capable.  You need the Data Connect
feature on your account since this is *digital* (not analog) data service over
TDMA.  Since you already have the cable, I recommend you get Cingular's "Data
Connect Kit with Quick Link Mobile software" ($19.99).  See
<http://www.cingular.com/business/data_connect>.

You could only use the V60Ti for analog data calls *if* you have a separate
modem (e.g., PCMCIA) with a cable for the V60Ti.

Thanks for the response.  Unfortunately, I don't think it helps me in my
situation.  I need to be able to use the phone to make a call to my
dialup ISP when I am NOT on the Cingular system.  I spend time twice a
year in two places that have digital service but not Cingular or a
Cingular partner.  It is my understanding that the Cingular data
connectivity kit will not work under those circumstances?

BTW, I had to read and respond via Phonescoop since this thread is
missing from my regular news servers.... and I had to do some cut and
paste to put the quoted text above my response ;)
