Thread rating: |
Cingular Wireless Voice Mail Deposit - 25 Dec 2003 17:56 GMT Hi,
I can't believe I'm the only one getting Voice Mail Deposit minute charges on my Cingular Wireless bill! The bill I received yesterday had them again, despite dozens (literally!!!) of promises from CW that it wouldn't happen again.
Please, check the charges on your bill. You may have some minutes charged to Voice Mail Deposit. If so, the charges are fraudulent. Please contact me about it at cingularwirelessvmd@hotmail.com
Let's stop fraudulent Cingular Wireless charges!!!

Imagine that!!!
I see it every month. I can't believe I'm the only one.

If I can find a few others they don't like, they're *really* not going to like me.
C'mon, people, check your bills!

I had this problem with Cingular where they were charging me toll charges every time I dialed into voice mail (I'm on a Nation plan). I would call every month, and they would credit the erroneous charges (between $2-$10). This went on for about 9 months, and finally the charges stopped.
Your only hope is that one time when you call in, you'll get a smart person who knows how to fix the problem. Until then, you'll probably be stuck calling them every month to get your credit.

This started happening for me about 6 months ago and still is ongoing. I call every two months for credit.

We can nail these guys!
Thanks!
Brian Oakley - 30 Dec 2003 20:42 GMT Insted of trying to "nail these guys" have you actually taken the time to take your bill to a Cingular store and see what they can do? B.

Cingular Wireless Voice Mail Deposit - 31 Dec 2003 07:34 GMT I have spoken on the phone to *at least* two Cingular Wireless employees (first the customer service person, then the supervisor) MONTHLY FOR SIX MONTHS!
Every time they lie to me about what VMD is (and they have some pretty imaginative lies), then they swear it will never be on my bill again.
Finally, I got fed up and decided to try to take some action.
Reasonable?

Brian Oakley - 02 Jan 2004 02:39 GMT But you still didnt take it to a Cingular store. Take it there. Get a face on the voice. It works better. You dont seem interested in persuing all your options.

Cingular Wireless Voice Mail Deposit - 02 Jan 2004 04:46 GMT I'm a half-hour from the nearest Cingular Wireless store. THEY are making the mistake and *I* should have to put in an hour of driving to fix it?
You gotta be kidding.

No actually sometimes the best way to right a wrong is face to face.
Or accept it!

Cingular Wireless is sending out fraudulent bills. That's a legal matter and I'm persuing legal action.
If anyone has the same problem, it would be helpful to hear from you.

It's not like your kid has to drive 45 miles one way to high school because the school bus doesn't come out this far. Do you have to drive 200 miles for doctors' appointments, too? And of course, all your gasoline stations, all stores, and all other places that you go oustide of your home are in the exact opposite direction that the Cingular store is, right?
Not to be mean, but sometimes you have to bite the bull-et or put up with the bull-sh.t.

Explain to me again why I should put in an hour of driving time (with no guarantee of success) because the people at Cingular Wireless are sending me fraudulent bills.
Thanks.
Richard Davis - 04 Jan 2004 04:24 GMT I work for Cingular (Engineering, not Customer Service)...not really my job to intervene into CS issues, but he sounded pretty frustrated.
I kicked his post up to National HQ...they want to help him, so I sent him an email request early last week. He never answered.

For the record, you didn't send it last week. You sent it December 31. Seeing that every day since then is a holiday, I didn't feel the need to check the mailbox.
Now that I've seen that the e-mail has been send, I'll check out the contents.
Thanks.

Sheri - 08 Jan 2004 21:32 GMT Hi, I'm new to Cingular; what exactly is Voice Mail Deposit?
Thanks
> Hi, > [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] > > Let's stop fraudulent Cingular Wireless charges!!! Cingular Wireless Voice Mail Deposit - 08 Jan 2004 21:47 GMT Sheri,
I've been trying to get Cingular Wireless to answer that very question for SIX MONTHS!
I have spoken to more than a DOZEN people at Cingular Wireless, and have never received an answer that is even close to satisfactory!
> Hi, I'm new to Cingular; what exactly is Voice Mail Deposit? > [quoted text clipped - 12 lines] > > > > Let's stop fraudulent Cingular Wireless charges!!! Stanley Reynolds - 09 Jan 2004 00:05 GMT <snip>
> > Hi, I'm new to Cingular; what exactly is Voice Mail Deposit? <snip> It should be a charge for using the voice mail system on a prepaid account, the real question is why it is appearing on a post paid account. Something is setup wrong to allow this charge, and because it is not possible to setup a post paid account with prepaid features then it is not eazy to fix.
