Hey everybody-
On my Samsung x427, when I use the speed-dial (where I hold down a
number in order to dial), the phone sometimes displays the name with
some strange characters after it. The call goes through, but then I
can't hang up. At the end of the call, the entire phone locks up and
I'm forced to pull the battery out in order to reset. This doesn't
happen all of the time. It happens mostly on the lower number speed
dials, if that makes any sense (like #1, #2). Does anyone else have
this problem?
Thanks-
Jeff

Hey! I had exactly the same issue and lockups! It was very frustrating.
It runs out that the number in memory for the speed dial got corrupted and
had all those umlaut o's and foreign characters added after it. Go
Name/Speed Dial/ and then choose each speed dial # and edit the number to
the proper one without the garbage characters afterwards. If this happened
to me and you, there surely are others affected. Let me know if this fixes
your problem. I wonder what causes it in the first place?

I sometimes have problems with mine locking up when using the gprs
browser. I wonder if there are some software issues with this model.
