Samsung doesn't have a camera or the ability to send/receive MMS
(Multi-media Message Service). That's a huge difference! No outside display
on the Samsung, either.

The V400 is a much much more sophisticated phone.

MMS capabilities on the V400, none on the x427
850/900/1800/1900 (Quadband) versus 850/1900 only on x427
outside display on V400
Integrated Camera on V400
1000 names and numbers on V400 versus 500 on x427
Speakerphone on V400
176 x 220 on V400 versus 128 x 160 on x427

Just a few of the high points. Now if it is just a phone you are looking for
and want a great phone for the price, the x427 should suffice just as well
as the v400. The x427 just doesn't have all the features as the v400, but
they may not be a concern to you anyway. RF on both is good.
