Ahh, that would explain why it seemed a REALLY stupid question to me ; ) My

You can also use several things without having to swap cables
and use new things without needing a new cable or some sort
of adapter.
Also, sneaking a contact card onto someone else's phone
would be far more obvious if they saw you hooking up a cable.
