I own a T610 (R1A081) and I have a friend who has a Z600.
I have 400Kb free memory and he has over a 1000Kb left.
He has a cool animated gif-image on his phone and it looks really cool and
fast moving characters. But when he sent it to me (over BT) it really sucked
on my T610. Slow and shocking movement.
I believed the phones were the same (apart from the screen), is this a
memory problem, firmware, or something else?

It's a firmware issue, an animated gif runs much faster on my friends newly
purchased T610 than on my 6 month old one

I had my T610 updated - the fish screensaver ran about 10 times faster

Just get your T610 upgrade to latest firmware and delete the
screensaver on the phone and transfer to the phone again, you will see
the screensaver much much smoother and faster !
