I have a T68i and it recently just started to drop it's connection. It
works about every 10 seconds for roughly 3 seconds maximum. What it
means is that I cannot ring and people cannot ring me.
Any ideas what the problem is? It's on Orange in the UK. Have tested
with a mates T68i and there are NO problems. He can even get GPRS on
his phone when mine cannot apparently get a signal.
Anyone know what's wrong and who could fix it?

This is a known fault with the T68. I believe it's to do with a component
overheating. If it's under warranty, you can get it fixed free of charge. I
noticed you're with Orange - if the phone is not under warranty, kick up
enough fuss with them about how you cannot make use of the contract and
you'll get another T68i free. I've known several people on Orange to
successfully do this regarding the T68 problem :-)

Thanks for that. Problem is that I bought it second hand. It's not
under warranty (unless the guy I bought it from still has the warranty,
and he was a bit of a git last time I asked him about it...) and I'm not
on a normal contract with Orange (at least, OVP Virgin, so they don't
get ANY money off me really) so I would be very surprised if I could get
anything from them. Anyone know how much it would be to get it fixed
and where I could get it fixed? I know it's prob not worth it... but
just for info.

I can't remember the name of the place, so I'd give SE a call, explain the
situation and see what they suggest.
