they should be sent as either gif or jpg. once on phone it will
either show straight a way or leave it a while then try it. if not
there must be a problem with the transfer, try infra red and see if it
fails with this too then there maybe a problem with the picture
itself. otherwise it might be the connection.

thanks...I managed to get a few to work ...if I further reduced the file
size... plus converted from jpg to gif....

go to the sony ericsson site there is a program on there for
converting jpegs to the ideal optimuim for the t610 phone. should be
under fun and downloads or something like that.

make sure u use exactly the right size and bitdepth - one way to guarantee
this might be to copy a photo that the phone has produced and simply re-edit
it to fit your needs before re-uploading - works for me...

I use SE Image Editor that came on my bundled CD. It only d/ls, upload
is by file transfer. It needs the SE Phone Monitor s/w to run, has
rudimentary editing & obviously will crop to the correct aspect ratio
then optimise the file which can also be copied to a folder for re-use.
Jpg file sizes are smaller than gifs - no external memory cards for this
phone, unfortunately.
