Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could reccomend a way to connect my phone to
my pc so I can do things like send pictures from pc to phone or phone to pc
and send wallpapers etc.

I've just about got used to the phone and thought I'd like to do a bit of
customizing.

Any help would be grate

cheers

You have several choices, and these are in the order of my personal
preference (but others may advise differently)

1. Bluetooth via a bluetooth dongle (cheap on ebay)
2. Infra Red via an Infra Red Dongle (cheap on ebay)
3. USB cable (cheap on ebay)

Bluetooth is more convenient but for me less reliable, IR is line of sight
only and USB cable is well, a cable!

The software to enable you to do this should be suplied with a combination
of that supplied with the phone or the connection methods or downloadable
from SE.

Hope this helps

Yes I imagine that would do you nicely. I have a Mitsumi one which works
well but a search on ebay for 'Bluetooth Dongle' brings up loads of results
including some 'class1' devices which go to 100 metres, which is
interesting. Anyway, good luck, and if you need your phone fixing send it to
my daughter!

Cheers

Thing to remember with class 1 BT devices is that if you've got a class 1
device (100m range) such as one of these
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=F8T001 talking to a class 2 device
(10m range) such as a T610 you're only ever going to get them talking over
10m as you'll be limited  by the max range of the class 2 device...

I have just (today) used a Belkin PCMIA bluetooth card to connect to the
T610, absolutly no probs sending things either way.

I connect through the IR port on my laptop, and use the software that came
with the phone for sync with outlook. Works fairly well.

I have both a serial cable and a usb cable.
I bought the serial cable in order to have a "guarantied to work" modem
connection with my notebook running Linux. It works very well.
I tried to sync Outlook, on a windows system, via the serial cable and that
simply doesn't work.
On the same machine Outlook sync works like a dream with the USB cable.

I had problems trying to connect T610 to PC with the Bluetooth dongle, but
then found out it was because that PC was using WIn98SE,  So I tried on my
XP machine, and it worked straight away !

Only problem is...that all by office apps...including Outlook, are on the
98SE machine......so if I use a cable....would that then work with 98SE...?
