Hi all,

I have a kar phone kit installed (see other posting below). The phone
recognises it as Portable HF set, not as Handsfree phone kit.

Is there a way to change the recognition and select the right profile?

Furthermore I want to deactivate the keyboard lock when the phone is in the
cradle. On my previous Siemens S35i this was deactivated automatically. On
the t610 it is not, you still have to touch the keys to unlock the phone
(not so save in a car)

Is there any solution?

Hey MO,

The Car kit you have installed,,,,,, is it a SonyEricsson OEM kit ?
(Advanced Car Handsfree kit)

When the phone is placed in a "Advanced Car Handsfree kit", it will change
to the correct profile (In Car), and there is no "keyboard lock" in that
profile. When disconnected, the profile is changed back.

You can change the profile manualy via settings

Thanks L@rs!

It's a Dabendorf Audio 2000 (german manufacterer). I think I have seen the
"in car" profile being set when I first used the car kit. I've been playing
with the handsfree settings a bit so I might have messed them up. I'll try
to find out the right setting. Could you maybe tell me the correct setting?

BTW, the phone's manual really is crap. There is hardly any info on the
settings for handsfree. There is no info on the setting for the handsfree
type (Standard /advanced). So I didn't know that the key-lock is deactivated
with an advaced car handsfree kit.

If fiddling with the settings doesn't work, I first will reset the profiles
to the factory settings (but then I have to set all other profile settings
too). If that doesn't work, I think I give the Dabendorf helpdesk a call to
see what the correct settings should be for the phone. I'm quite shure that
it supports the Advanced Phone setting.

Hey MO,

Don't know the "Dabendorf"......
I haven't changed any thing in the profile "In Car" ! (I use a SonyEricsson
"Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-20").

I think you need to reset your profile, and start over. After resetting,
place the phone in the car holder and check for accessories in the
connections menu. As you are NOT using a original accessory you may need to
activate (add) it first !

There are NO settings for a vehicle handsfree kit on the T610, thats why
there's nothing in the phone manual.

You write about "Standard /advanced"...... It's the original SonyEricsson
vehicle handsfree kit that's advanced, as it has NO settings !

SORRY I can't help more...... I simply don't know your kit !
