ok had the thing about a week now, and its not as great as i thought....

A) Cant use it as a webcam.... pretty big downer.
B) Only supports 128mb MSD not do hot as an mp3 player... but i guess it
does the job
C) All the applications are pretty useless, with the exception of psiloc's
IRremote control everything else is bollocks, and even IRremote does not
support all the models it claims
D) the sync between the P900 & the PC is poor, extra apps needed.... In my
opinion the most obvious application for the phone is as a bluetooth remote
for winamp or media player or whatever... but no, nothing.... not even able
to sync e-mail without having to convert it to a txt file first... whats up
with that?

I'm seriously starting 2 think i should have gone 4 the IPac.

Am I missing something here, or can Ipaq's now make phone calls?

I had P800 and then upgraded P900 and have been using the Symbian
system on these phones for a while. I must say the P900 is a big
improvement over P800 but recently I have sold my P900 in favor of an
MS Smartphone (O2 Xphone) because I am fed up with the Sync problems.

My company upgraded our Exchange server to 2003 version and the
Ericsson software simply could not sync the phone correctly to the
server which was the most frustrating thing.

Having used the Smartphone for a while, I now believe that MS may have
the upper hand on this, especially looking at all the upcoming phones
in different form factors (...and yes, there is an iPaq that can make
phone calls but the better one is O2's XDA2).

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.....

I agree on this but then, it only has a 400kbs link - not fast enough to
support web cam link. (It may use a USB cable but the USB cable is
actually a USB to serial converter and the serial port on the phone only
goes up to about 400kbs - USB can go all the way up to 120,000kbs)

Disappointing for some, I did not buy the phone as an MP3 player

For me, the fact that :-
* Repeated Annual events do NOT syncronise with Outlook (apparently they
do with Mac Ical)
* Jotter shows the Newest Jot LAST not FIRST * PC Integration software
totally FAILS when McAfee virus scan 7 Home or Firewall is in use
* I have to buy third party apps to give
** a 'day' view in calendar (a bit like HandyDay)
 ** simple database like HandyDataBase
** to-dos showing up in the Calendar 'Day' view
** working Word file viewer (that did not crash on simple documents)
** Copy anywhere (connect the unit, copy on the unit, paste on the PC,
    and vice versa)
All of which Symbian 5 (two major releases of Symbian before) had.

I, quite frankly, could not give two hoots about cameras, mp3 playing,
MMS, Bluetooth, IR remote control. I wanted a phone which worked as an
organiser - nearly there, not quite.

I am just pissed off the Psion Revo had the battery problems...
