Hello, I have a problem with outlook syncronisation all our P800 phones. If
we for instance make a birthday in outlook calendar and set it up to be a
whole day event, it will NOT synchronise. But if we select a "time-period"
for the yearly event, i.e from 8 - 8.30, it synchronises with outlook (2000)
Any ideas around this??
I don't know if it makes any difference but we have tried to install Handy
dates on the phones, but the synchronised yearly items doesn't appear in
HandyDates, they appear in Calendar.

P800 and P900 phones do NOT sync Repeating Events with Outlook (much to my
absolute disgust).
One can only hope for an update. I gather the underlying Calendar
sub-system in the phone does support it but its the Outlook integration
that does not work.
A friend of mine indicated that Ical (I think thats what it's called) on
the Macintosh does sync Repeating events.
I live in hope.

Thank you for the reply! It is most annoying that this functionality isn't
there.. We will then have to change all the events in outlook from "all day"
to i.e 8:00 - 8:00 and mark ourselves as free, then it syncs..

My only problem is that on my Work Outlook 2002, if I go into Calendar and
view events, then use the field chooser to show the 'All Day' checkbox, if
I try to un-check this (to make the event Non-all-day), I get 'Permission
Denied, cannot move item'.
Anyone know how to overcome this?
I am not keen on re-keying all 140 recurring anniversaries and birthdays
I have on file!

Which kind of repeating items are not synched? Mine at least syncs these,
ordinary, weekly repeating appointments.

Hi Pete, the items not synched are neverending yearly events (for ex.
birthdays) marked with the "whole day" alternative. I can synch yearly
events, but the only way is to set it up with a time to and from i.e 8:00 -
8:00 (and then mark myself as free)

Repeating whole day events (ie with no start-stop time, only start-stp
date)

I can confirm that Apple Macintosh's iSync successfully syncs repeating
events from iCal. Although, pager numbers from the Address Book does not
have a field in the P800 and is therefore not synched. I have since changed
all my old pager numbers to be described as mobile phone numbers.
