P900 recall?

I just tried to order a SonyEricsson P900 from Vodafone in Germany.
I've been told that it is unavailable/recalled due to an unspecified
software problem, and that it will be two _months_ before they are
available again.

Has anybody else heard anything about this?

And let me guess, they suggested a different handset which as it
happens they *do* have stock of...

Yes. It is the same with T-Mobile. They did not get enough handsets from SE.
Try get another one and sell it on Ebay then buy one regularly.
