If you want an online reader, there was a link posted
to a.c.e. just a few weeks ago (reading only app):
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?fldAuto=528&faq=6

Also, there are quite a few offline readers out there, google
knows them all. I'm just developing a (free) java/awt based
newsreader fitting for uiq displays (I really want to have an
online reader, but i don't want to look out for a new one every
time i get a new handy or organizer), but depending on my
work load it may take a few weeks to finish.

I've tried that one but I can't seem to get it to work, could you help
perhaps.

I've set the server as news-text.blueyonder.co.uk and added
alt.games.half-life and clicked get list and it just refreshes
indefinitely.

Thanks for any advice.

I have also tried to get this reader to work several times. I have only
succeeded to get a list of symbian's newsgroups, but not any news from any
group. I gave up after the last tries.
