I've recently ordered a z200 (which will arrive tomorrow), but I'm finding a
great deal of conflicting info for it.

Can it be connected to a PC via USB cable?  I'm hearing yes from some, but
the sonyericsson.com site disagrees.  They don't list a compatible cable,
either.  Nor have they responded to my emailed questions.

What about to my Palm (m515) via infrared?  Do I need to download any
drivers/programs in order to make this work?

Thanks all, I appreciate any help I can get.

I bought my Z200 to use with my Palm Zire 71.  I've successfully
transferred a picture to the Palm and then back to the Z200 (JPEG 'cos
my Palm doesn't have the software to recognise GIFs).

I've read that the Z200 has an RS232 port, but don't know of a
suitable cable; there is a greyed-out 'Accessories' item in the
'Connectivity'  menu, perhaps this has something to do with it.

I bought a USB-IrDA dongle for my PC (running Windows XP Home) and
that works fine.  I've transferred pictures via IR using  the Sony
Ericsson Image Editor (downloaded from the Sony Ericsson website) and
sound files using the utility that appears when the IR dongle detects
the phone.

However, despite the Z200 being shown as having a modem on the
supplier's website (http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile), I have been
unable to establish a link via IR.  This is a little disappointing
since one of my reasons for getting this phone was to allow me to
connect my Palm to the Internet.  I'll continue to investigate.

Hi

yes, Z200 can be connected to you PC via a DCU-11 cable.

we sold many of sony ericsson cables on ebay, and most of the users feel
very satisfy with the purchase. our account is DKU-5 on ebay.

you can take a look at our website: http://www.vavolo.com/ for a DCU-11
compatible cables.

or http://www.vavolo.com/productdetails.asp?mode=1&ProductID=1049 (this
support Z200)
