*snip P800 data incompatible with P900*

Heard this before, pretty weak work on SE's side.

Forget the backup. If you still have the P800 - I hope you do - go and
sync it to whatever it syncs to on Windows, possibly Outlook or
Entourage. iSync when on a Mac with OSX. Manually export your images
(even if you have them on memorystick) and notes using bluetooth or the
USB connection. The P800 also enables you to store SMS on your SIM and
from the SIM back to the phone. Very time consuming process, I know, SE
should have done a better job. Send them a written complaint.
If you do not have the P800 anymore, and never bothered to sync your
data, I would say try and lend a (new/clean) P800 somewhere and install
your backup, then go for the manual route.
I am sorry to say, but the P800 has proven itself (to me) as a highly
unreliable device. Do not rely on any backup solution SE offers. Make
manual backups and sync your data on a regular basis.

Yes, that's it. Especially when P900 is the follow-up model.

Thanx for your help. I will do it manually.
