Just recently bought a "MICROSOFT WIRELESS OPTICAL DESKTOP BLUETOOTH
USB" to be able to communicate with my Z600 over bluetooth.
(Which has turned out to be a really bad idead, since MS-bluetooth
adapter really $uck$)
Anyway, after I have installed Service Pack 2 Beta for XP, it works
better and I have been able to sync my Outlook with my phone etc.
And now, finnally, to my question:
I have "Bluetooth Network Connections" in "Network connections"
folder, however, it is disconnected. And my I am trying to add,
something, ie my phone, it doesn't show.
This because, as stated, "No Bluetooth network devices or computers
supporting Personal Area Network (PAN) services was found".
Is this because of my phone? Or my Bluetooth adapter? Can I upgrade my
firmware in my phone to solve this? Is my Z600 able to provide this
service at all?
Or do have to wait for MS to realease another 'fix' for their dongle?
Please, enlighten me!

I once read that the MS Bluetooth Desktop does NOT support OBEX push,
COM port over Bluetooth, Bluetooth Sync, etc... (which is what you
need) those sort of protocol. Not too sure if they made a newer
release with their products.

The Network Connection is one of the various services supported by your
Bluetooth adapter. The mobile phone itself does not know and does not offer
this service.
The Network Access is used when you want to connect other computer or a
Pocket PC to a LAN through your computer. It's like an ethernet adapter,
simply put.
Your phone supports headset, OBEX File Transfer, Serial, PIM Synchronisation
and dial-up. These are the services you can use from your computer when
connected to the phone.
