Pete

I'm running a dual sim adaptor in my z600, the following works fine
(anyone else reading this, it also works fine in a T610 too and may
well fit the P800 mentioned in other threads.

I have no connection with the supplier apart from as a customer

the good news is you do NOT have to cut up or 'trim' your sim card

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42408&item=3396586379

I found that by hanging on till the final few minutes i picked one up
for £5.49 plus postage. it's a far east company but they  delivered ok
and have pretty good feedback and a long history.

best wishes and hope that helps

Pete,

Could you please inform us about this amazing product when you have a chance
to try it?

Thanks,

Klaus,

the dual sim holder is slightly thicker than the conventional sim card
itself.
I used mine on a T610 I owned previously, currently it's in my Z600.

the photo on the ebay page says it all, there's a 'spoof' sim card
connected to a dual sim holder, you just slot your two sim cards in
there, you do NOT have to trim the cards or cut them in any way.

insert the spoof sim into the sim holder on your fone, and the dual
sim holder sits behind the battery.

to switch from one sim card to the other you just turn off your fone
and immediately turn it back on again

simple to use and works wonderfully.

Hi group,

Well, it arrived today and on first inspection, I wouldn't rate it too
highly.

Firstly, it wouldn't fit into my SIM socket on the phone (SE Z600).

After some tense moments trying to squeeze it in, I inserted my two SIM
cards and then realised that they wouldn't fit anywhere. The battery needed
to go back in but how and where. I tried twisting the ribbon cable of the
dual card holder so I could try to wrap it around the battery and sit it on
top.

I did achieve this, but of course the back cover wouldn't slide on.

I then decided to play with it a little anyway (leaving the back cover off).
Well, problems began. Firstly, I switched on the phone and SIM1 seemed to
load. I then went into the messaging icon on my menu, my phone paused a few
moments and then reset itself. When it restarted, I was on SIM2. Mmmm,
interesting.

So I then powered off and powered back on, still SIM2. Did it again, still
SIM2. Powered off and left it off for about 30 seconds, and when back on, it
was SIM1.

Each time though, there was a singificant pause in phone functionality,
almost like it was doing something - more than normal anyway.

So basically, in a word, this thing sucks big time. I took the risk buying
it off the web and paid the price (thankfully a small one).

I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Cheers,
Pete

Sorry to hear that Pete - was it the one I pointed out on ebay? if so,
I'm at a loss - the one i purchased from there was and still is
working on my z600  -  unless they've changed the thing since I bought
mine of course.

Hi Baffie,

Yeah, same one. I'm baffled too, but it's no big deal, just annoying more
than anything.

How does yours sit? When I plug mine into the SIM socket, the cable juts
straight out from there, with about a millimetre or two of the right-edge of
the dul-sim section passing the right edge of the phone, so it doesn't even
sit under the battery.

Cheers,
Pete

i just folded  (twice) the 'tail' that goes from the imitation sim to
the dual holder and it just sits at the bottom half of the space under
the battery. The cover was a tight fit to get back on, but as it's
only a one off event i didn't mind.

when i switch from one sim to the other (by turning off and back on) i
only wait about one second *from when the backlight goes off* and then
restart the phone. It does take a few seconds to initialize but
nothing that's been noticeable but i guess if you're in a hurry it may
be a hassle.

all in all a lot less hassle than carrying two fones - which is what i
used to do - anyone want to buy a T68? :-)
