just purchased a USB date cable to connect the Z600 to my laptop. The
laptop recognises the cable and "see's" it in comm port 5. However the
laptop cannot detect the phone. Does anyone have any ideas ? Do I have
to update the phones firmware, or do I have to download a new driver ?
I have visited the sony ericsson and tech.prolific.com.tv websites, and
according to everything I have read, it would seem that I have done
everything correct. Help please
thanks

Have you checked the settings using "Phone Monitor"?  Make sure it is set to
correct com port etc,  there are options you must look at, and they must be
correct for phone to be seen. If you are using com port 5,  then select that
com port only to, be reserved in Phone Monitor.

Phone Monitor access from "Control Panel"  in windows,  by the way, what
version of windows are you using?

Cheers
