How? Delete All function deletes numbers in phone but not on sim.
Tried doing it using floats mobile agent, but it would not delete them
(unless I am using this software wrong). Is there another phone
editing package out there, which is better or I should try instead.

It works with floAT's Mobile Agent. but it's NOT very obvious!

1. In the explorer windows, left, click SIM Memory
2. the right window shows the content of the SIM card.
3. right-click on the entry you want to delete
4. click Delete
5. confirm the deletion
6. you'll see a red cross over the card to the left
7. right-click again on any entry
8. click Send all contacts to phone

if you want to check the result press F5 and the SIM card will be
reread.

Tried what you said and it appears the FMA is able to read the
contents of the SIM card, but cannot write to it. It shows all the
phone numbers in Sim and in Phone, but if you try and delete or change
anything it does nothing (no script box or anything) tried putting the
sim to "unlock" but that made no change. Incidentaly the write
messages using the SMS option does not work. Lets you choose/add a
contact, write the message, but does nothing when you send. I know FMA
is talking to the phone as it reads in all the settings and phonebook
etc. Is this a specific problem with the Z600 do you think?

What version of FMA do you use? The latest is 0.1.0.35

There shouldn't be any specific Z600 problems.

Yep thats the one I am using.

Hi,

It seems I'm having the same problem,  I can mark the contact on the sim for
deletion and actually go through the process with FMA,  but it wont actually
delete the contact from the card,  FMA shows the sync bar and all, but the
contact is still left on the card,  and in the explorer window of FMA.

I can however,  add a new contact to the sim card using FMA,  there is no
problem there, it will write to it ok. If I delete that contact from the sim
card using the phone delete, and then sync with FMA, it too is also removed
from the FMA program.  It looks like a one way thing here,  maybe that is a
good thing,  so you can't accidentally del the whole card in one hit,
f.cked if I know?.

Might go and have a look at user forums

Cheers

Think I may have stumbled on the reason I cannot block delete the
numbers on SIM using FMA. I will confirm later, but it looks like if
you include contact no. 1 in your list of items to delete, it sods the
whole process up.
