T68 upgrade to T68i

I am in the UK. Can someone please tell me where in the UK I can get the
upgrade of my T68 to T68i. Can I do it myself? How much will it cost. SE
told me I had to go to Vodafone (my service provider but not phone provider)
and Vodafone tell me I have to send it to SE but don't know where. What
benefits will I gain if and when I achieve this upgrade? TIA

take a look in your local yellow pages for a Sony service centre (mobile
phones obviously). They should be able to upgrade the firmware for about
?10.

If you want to do it yourself, you'll need (at the least) a Terminator
dongle, a copy of DIV (8.4 or 3.1 USB), T68i firmware and a T68-T68i
conversion GDFS.

Alternatively, get someone to do the job for you. We charge ?15.50
including return postage, others may be cheaper or more expensive.
