Just purchased a "new - never been used" P800 When I connect to power lead to charge battery, red light comes on, but I cannot switch on the phone as advised in the manual, the screen does not light and the battery charging indicator does not show. Is this normal for a "first" charge? or is it faulty? Then press and hold the power button for more than 10 seconds. Then try to turn it on - you must hold for a little while. If this does not work, remove the battery for 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and try to turn it on. Thanks for your reply I let it charge for about 6 hours, but still could not switch it on. I left the charger connected, switched it off at the wall socket and switched it back on. Phone sprung into life and did everything it should. All seems OK now. Thanks Lee |
