Does anyone know what's updated in the R5 release (vs R4 that is) ?

Thanks...

Menus are faster and extended battery performance, there probably is more.

My CDA is 162004/29  which says I have the latest one of R3A06 ..... that
can't be right, surely?

Hi Kevin,
I'm in Europe, 162003/3 is the 'language pack' for UK English, French and
two others.
I believe SE use this ID to identify which language/geography the phone is
'in'.
In some cases I believe that providers even have their own code, meaning fex
you'd have a Vodaphone branded phone, you'll get Vodaphone branded firmware.

Anyway - if yours says 162004/29 I'm sure that means Australia ;-)
Hope this clarifies a bit - even though I don't know all the details myself.
Take care,
Nuke

Hi Nuke

Yep, you're right about the CDA numbers.  I did a little research on
my-symbian.com and they confirmed it's related to where the phone is from
etc.  The thing I don't understand is, that my organiser version is R3A06
and yet there are people here (from Oz too I think) that are a couple of
updates ahead of this version.

Anyway, just thought I'd check.  There's nothing wrong with my phone - I'm
just an upgrade junkie! :)

For the upgrades - same here ;-)
I'm guessing you have the 'branded' OS. Try to figure out what the non
branded code is, and use that.
You'll be on the latest, non-branded, version.
- But make sure you ask the specialists before you do, if this actually is
possible ;-)
Good WE.

Nup...it's actually unbranded.  I'll keep searching for a reason.  :)

And I thought it was just my imagination.  I'm getting less battery time
too.

Take it easy
