For starters did you install the SE suite? 2.4.1. is latest version I
believe.

Do you have Norton Internet Security or some other similar Firewall on your
system?  If you do then I suggest you uninstall both the SE Suite and the
Firewall software.  Then reinstall the SE suite and ensure it works, then
re-install the Firewall software.  If it's anything like Norton then it will
scan your computer for connections and see the SE suite as something
legitimate rather than new and potentially a threat.

I had this problem when running Norton Internet security 2004 and the above
procedure sorted it out.

I hope this helps.

Regards
AC

If it's any help mine never works after booting up.

I have to disconnect the USB lead, then re-connect it, double click on
the Phone Connection Link in the tray, tick the appropriate box on the
Link Properties box then if the 'Close' button is black and not greyed
out click the button. If the button is greyed out break and make the
USB connector again. I use an USB extender cable so the join is easy
to reach on my desk.

If you right click the Phone Connection Link and select 'Change Phone'
your phone should be listed if not click on 'Refresh'.

It works OK with Zonealarm and EZ Antivirus.

Good luck.

The Phone Connection Link in the tray should change from a broken
double ended arrow to a horizontal Z which moves.
