Hi All,

I've just got a Sony Ericsson 610 and I really like the ringtone "Old
Phone". It sounds like an old phone ringing. But everyone else (of my
age) where I work has choosen the same ringtone. Does anyone know of a
good source of ringtones in the UK for the Sony Ericsson 610 that
includes several different retro phone sounds? All the ones I have
found just include tunes.

Thanks,

Tim.

Hi Tim

I take it what you're after is a normal "ring ring" type of ringtone. There
are about 4 different types of "normal" ringtones here:
http://www.intomobiles.com/help/search-display.asp?search=Miscellaneous

There's a preview of each ringtone so you can have a listen first.

Well... I couldn't listen to any ringtone at all!!!

I was asked to register, which also included PayPal and thus credit
cards.

I assure you there is a preview option for every ringtone. When you click on
a specific ringtone and you're not logged in you'll be taken to a page that
says "Register Now or Login". On the left of that page, is a mobile phone
image with an animated speaker and PREVIEW written underneath it, click
either the text or the image to listen to the preview.

All feedback on the site is greatly appreciated. Where would you (a new user
to the site) expect the preview button/link to be placed?

Many thanks,

I didn't expect to come to anything else than a page where I actually
could listen to the ringtone, in the first place!!!

"Preview" makes me think of seeing something, not listening.

There's a lot of information on the "Register Now or Login" page.

I imediately spotted

REGISTER
REGISTER NOW
REGISTER NOW
Just REGISTER NOW!!!

Very bewildering!!!

You can use standard MIDI files as ringtomes.
They are available on the internet by the gazillions for free.
You should be able to find (or maybe even compose!) one that you like and
that is at the same time unique.
