I just got this T-306 a couple weeks ago and I need a few pointers. I
switched from a nokia 5165 and there are a few things I miss.

#1) A LOUD ringtone - Is this even possible? I  know when I drive with the
windows down (A/C is broke) I could flip my nokia over to loud and hear it
over the road noise and music. I've even tried to compose one annoying
enough but....no dice

#2) on my nokia you could press the up or down arrow to immediately access
my phonebook and then press the send. When I do this on my t306, I get the
contacts name, scroll down through it to get who I want and then hit the
send button. Then I get the three tones (like when you've dialed a
nonworking number)

I'm about to go crazy, can anyone help meeeeeeeee

Thanks

We had switched from the Nokia 5165 to the SE T306. After it wouldn't work
in Europe we took it back and reactivated the Nokia. It really soured me on
SonyEricsson.

Hallo!

You can asign a shortcut so you can have nine fast nummbers 1 to 9
If you look in your manual its in there!

( ...............................
press down
then the fist leter in your contakts name
then "i am not shure if it is" yes or ok or select
and then selekt the contakts nummber "home work or cellular"
then call
.................................)

If you have allot off contakts and more then one number to a contakt then
it's gone bee allot off nummbers in you'r phone book in the old system that
Nokia has.

I am sorry abote the speling and grama i am from Sweden!!!!!

You can have two different sets of shortcuts to the 2-9 buttons, one
for numbers on your SIM and one for specific numbers you pick from
your contacts.  Difference is between whether it's press and hold or
press number and hit yes.  To assign a position to number in your
contacts go into Manage Contact.  Edit Position is in there somewhere.
Also you should be able to do a joystick-right and get to the "find
contact".  Manual has all the shortcuts.

Not as loud as some other phones (Nokia 5100 series was louder than
anything).  But if you create your own ringer, the composer menu has its own
volume setting.  Save the ring tone you create with full volume (it is not
by default the same volume as whatever you have the volume at in the main
menu setting).  To make it easier to hear, set the tempo really high, set
each individual note to shortest length possible by hitting 9 several times
after each one, then under "style" in the composer menu select staccato.
This will give the ring more of a buzz sound (easier to notice).  Also,
instead of just the same note repeated, try doing a series of 3 or 4 notes
from lowest to highest repeated to make sure road sounds and other
background noise doesn't drown out the only frequency the phone rings.  I
use a wavy up-down pattern, and it's hard to mistake the ringer even with a
lot of background noise.
