Is it an hidden feature which can tell (with a tune or something) that
an email has been received or is it impossible to get any sound (or vibration).

nope, you have to check the mail for yourself :)

The best you can do is get your email checked every so many hours and look
for the icon on the screen.  That's as loud as it gets :-(

Alternatively, have mail come via an ISP that will send SMS
notifications - they can make noises or vibrate! I realise this is an
extra step you probably were hoping to avoid, but your emails don't
actually get sent to the phone - you have the facility to check for
them which means there is nothing for the phone to notify you of prior
to doing a check.
