Sony Ericsson K500i - can't get back off!

Just received a new one by mail today... however, I can't get the back off
to insert the battery and SIM!  Maybe I'm being really thick; however...
the page in the instruction manual starts with the back already off (clever,
that), and the customer service agent I phoned says it "just slides down".
If I push any harder I'm going to bust the thing!   Can anybody who's got
one of these things help me?!

Thanks
David

you do have to use a bit of force, as you found the manual is rubbish.
Once you've done it once, it should be easier.

Ah - got it!  For the possible future benefit of anybody else reading this -
you put your thumbnail under the notch on the bottom of the back, and the
back just snaps off - it doesn't slide at all, and there is no 'release'
button.

put some object in the groove at the bottom of the cover at the back
just pull up the back cover..and pull it hard. Its just a snap fit fro
the inside...thats all.
