Hello,

I unlocked/debranded a Fido branded SE T200.  The unlockign and debranding
went fine as far as I can tell.  However when I slip my own SIM card into
it, and try ot make a call, it just beeps and tells me the network is
busy....

Any ideas as to why it might be doing this?

I'm wondering if perhaps the IMEI is blocked or something.  I'm using a
Rogers AT&T SIM btw.

Thanks!

If you've debranded it incorrectly there's a good chance the IMEI has become
corrupt.  What did you use to flash the phone and in what order did you
flash the parts (MCU, Modem & GDFS) of the firmware?

I unlocked and debranded it in the saem order I did my SE T637, which works
fine.

I used DIV5.

First I unlocked it(checkbox in DIV), then re-wrote with an uncustomized
GDFS.  Didn;t touch teh modem on either fone.

Corrupted IMEI?  You mean like the internal IMEI that the cellular sends as
its ID to the network?  Hmmmn...

Worse comes to worst, I was tempted to change teh IMEI, but then I hit a new
brick wall, in what new IMEI I could use so as not to cause any ripples in
the network...(Wow! A ghost/clone IMEI! =-P)

MCU, Modem then GDFS, and I'd also flash them one at a time removing the
battery between flashing each part.

Will try this. Thank you.  An interesting point though.. I just passed by a
FIDO store, adn asked them to "see if I can use thsi phoen n teir
network"(It originally was a FIDO phone).  I saw the chicks put a SIM in
there, but never saw them make any test calls with it.  They said, Its good
on FIDO's network... I'm curious as to if they really checkd it or not.  I
mumbled that I had unlocked it.  They also told me it was unlocked..duh.

I will try the order you suggested, and will keep you posted.

Thanks!!

Bear in mind that I don't use Terminator or DIV (I use Twister), but the
.GDF files are (surprisingly) the GDFS and should be flashed last of all,
and you should be able to tell from the file names what the .SBN files are
(MCU or Modem).

If you get stuck, have a look on the forums at http://beam.to/gsmforum
