Hi

I have the HBH-35 handset. I was told to only charge it when the light
flashes red. The light on mine started flashing red after about 3 weeks.
Would it hurt it to charge it more often like once a week?

Thanks

HBH-35 has NiMH cells. Common wisdom has it that earlier charging
does not harm them, as long as you run a complete decharge/charge
cycle once in a while. I however, prefer to charge only when it's
empty.

The battery indicator, however, is completely useless: It shows
"full" for 5 minutes, "low" 2 minutes before starting to blink
red, while "medium" is what it indicates the remaining 99.99
percent of the time.

HBH-35 is a headset, not a handset - if we are talking about the
same gadget.

No, it does not hurt at all.
What does hurt the batteries is having the HBH-35 deep discharged for a long
time, so fully empty for several weeks.
Avoid that and you will enjoy your headset for several years.

Mine was dead after ap. 2 years. I used it a lot.
After that I bought a HBH-660 and now I am really happy with it but I
hope it will survive longer.

Ciao...
