I'm trying to send an image file from my laptop to my cellular via ir,
but all my efforts failed.
I have an ir connection on my pc, but it doesn't identify the
cellphone. When I try to connect between the two units using floAT's
Mobile Agent, the response I get is that my connection was refused.
Can You instruct me how to do it?

I usually use BT on my laptop.
But on occasion I use IR, all I need to do is enable IR on the phone and put it in "sight" of the pc's IR.
After a few seconds XP has discovered the phone, and adds an icon on the desktop. This can be used for drag and drop.
Now you can either use any graphic program, of use SonyEricsson's Image Editor (free at the site).

Are you sure the IR works on both devices?
If you have a digital camera (of phone with lens), look at the IR eyes. They should light up when viewing them through the
screen/viewer.

Sven,
Thanks for your reply.
Your description is exactly what I would expect to occur. However, in
my system, it doesn't. My laptop doesn't identify my phone, this in
spite of the fact that I've activated the phone's ir.
Do you, or anyone else reading this thread, know what may block the
connection?
Do you, or anyone else reading this thread, know how to check if the
problem is on the pc side or on the phone's side?

p.s. Let me add one point: I'm synchronizing my palm pilot routinely
using ir. This is done using palm's software. I wonder if SonyEricsson
has an equivalent option?

No problem

Well if the pc works with your palm, I guess that there is a problem with the phone.
As said in my previous post, try to look at the phone's IR port with a digital camera (phone cam will also do the trick)
You should be able to see the IR on the viewer.

Can the Palm detect other devices? If yes, try to find the phone.
Maybe with some trick, "IR modem"-search or so.

Drag and drop is standard feature of XP, no drivers needed.
If the drag and drop works, then the Image Editor by SE will work also.
