Question - I have a phone I would like to do a test call on....

I have a few phones - all Ericsson - i dialed 611 on some and got an
ATT person...211 on another worked...is there a generic number i can
call on my ericsson to get a test call- to see if it works? thanks!!!

That will be dependant on your network/geographical location, not the
phone...

You might want to tell us where you are and which network you are on

Good point - I am in FL, but the phones were sent to me by a friend in
West Va. I have no clue as to what network...that probably makes the
biggest difference. I am pretty sure the AT&T phones use 611, but I
was wondering if there was a generic Ericsson number i dialed..oh
well..thanks

!!!! it will probably say on the screen, or pull the SIM out and see what is
written on that

Have you bothered to try 611. usually works on all phones. 611 or *611
