problem with SyncStation & Win2000

Greetings..
i've bought today the P800 and tried to install the software to synch it
with my pc.
It installed a new port (com5) that it recognize as "USB Cable DCU-11"
The connection manager told me that the port USB is "connected"
but when i try to launch the p800' software everything told me that there is
no phone istalled..
Am i missing something ?

My son in law has exactly the same problem with phone not being recognised
so any advice would be great.

win2k(or whatever you use)-control panel, phone monitor, check that there
are a phone installed or test communication trubleshooter....

i use win2000 server, but in phone monitor, when i click on the
troubleshooter... it do not do anything.
on documentation it says that not all install disk has this feature...

:-(

do i have to blown up the phone ? :-(

no....take care of it....do the standard way....unistall....make sure that
you have all aviable Servicepacks to the win2k and then install again...

to be sure...unbook and deactivate all COM-ports in the phonemonitor..
