Cellular Phone Forum / Providers / Fido / September 2004irDA with Siemens C65
I recently purchased a Siemens C65 and am running it with Fido. I downloaded Mobile Phone Manager from the Siemens site and it installed well. Now the IR monitor in Win98SE sees the phone and identifies it as the C65. However the Siemens MPM CX65 s/w says "no telephone connected". And the Phone Explorere (it's like Windows Explorer) says "please connect your telephone with the PC". I know the phone is connected cause if I right click any file in Windows explorer and choose Send To/Infrared Recipient I am able to send a file to the phone. Siemens tech support sucks and they won't even try to troubleshoot. Anyone have ideas or perhaps recomend a 3rd party s/w package I can use with this phone? LOL, I did get the service advisory from Siemens saying I should unselect the shutdown tone to prevent that.
