I got an A009 and want to enable the GPRS.
The phone detects the GPRS as shown on the status
bar, but what do I have to put in GPRS service
providers options,
It asks for Name, APN (access point name) or phone number
Username and password?

Is this similar to the Hiptop configuration? How does one
configure the hiptop? May that infor would help.

Any help welcome

Well I added internet.fido.ca and UID fido and PWD fido as stated
on the FAQ web page at fido, but the browser just sits there
doing nothing.
Someone has any other ideas,
Does anyone has an A009 with Fido?

Is it an internet browser or WAP browser? There are different settings for
each. Also, call Fido to make sure your account is set up correctly.

Good question
Fiddling more with the device y have found out that the browser
also needs a setup and it request for an IP?? Does Fido provides
static IP for phones?
Here is what the fields are for the browser setup:
1> WAP Setting
2 Data Bearer
3 Profiles name  (this one is obvious)

WAP settings:
1> Primary IP
2> Primary Port:
3> Seconday IP
4 Secondary port

Data bearer:
1> GPRS
2> CSD

One goes into GPRS:
1> APN:
2> Username:
3> Password:

I will call Fido tomorro to verify the account setting.
When I fire up the browser its says "UP.Link address is not set up"
