Anyone else see todays ad in the Toronto Star?   Hiptop1 Tri-Band $0 on
a 2 year contract.

It's apparently not as "Discontinued" as the Fido website suggests.

Either that, or they got one hell of a deal from Danger on remaining
stock on HipTop 1's, in preperation for the HT2

Sure wish that deal was around 8 months ago when I paid $280 for mine...

It is for remaining inventory in various sales channels. The unit stocked
out about 3 weeks ago.

Last time I checked,
there were no available in Sherbrooke, only in some flagships (Brossard had
no more, but MTL did);
and over the phone a sales rep told us it was already in the "discontinued"
section, (that was before it appeared on the web); and that the HT2 was on
its way, and all the testing had been done.

I think that they shifted it down to 0$ because they will make a bigger
markup when trying to sell an HT2 at a ridiculously high price 400+...$
