It is covered very well. Your choice: Cingular, AT&T Wireless and
T-Mobil. Depending on your phone, these networks may appear with other
names.

Of course it is. The whole US is covered with either roaming on
T-Mobile or cingular. Of course big cities will be covered including
but not limited to Seattle. As soon as you cross the border from
Cloverdale, BC into Blaine, Washington you'll have coverage on either
cingular or T-Mobile.
