Is there another word for synonym?
: Which carrier was this originally locked to? Is it branded or
: unbranded? Flexed to give full control or is it using a carrier's flex?
It's probably Roger's since it's not posted to the Cingular group. I
also doubt if it is unbranded. Too much work for most people when they
unlock it. With the V551, your GPRS or Webaccess is still locked. I
have my V551 unlocked and I need the Service Cable and some hacking
software to show the menus to setup/change other features. That's why I
have my M55 (Siemens) it allow me to change the Wireless settings.

GPRS or webaccess is still locked? What exactly is still locked?

'Tis far better to have snipped too much than to never have snipped at all.

Well, both actually since webaccess uses GPRS. You can't change the IP
address and other settings within the V551 where the flex is Rogers.
The menu is "hidden".
